Dress Code

Where to purchase? Dance shoes can be purchased at Campus Costume and Payless (Please do not purchase ballet slippers from Walmart or Target). Target, Walmart, and Campus Costume are great places to purchase dancewear for kids and Campus Costume for adults. 

Hair: Must be pulled back for all classes (optional for creative movement).

Creative Movement: Play clothes that are easy to move in or dance wear of choice. Bare feet or ballet slippers if desired.

Pre-Ballet: Female students should have a pink tank or camisole leotard without attached skirt for end of semester performance, but may have other leotards/skirts for class if they wish. Pink tights and ballet slippers, hair pulled back. Male Students should have a white or black fitted t-shirt and black shorts or leggings, black ballet slippers.

Children's Ballet 1-4: Female students should have a black camisole strap leotard without attached skirt for end of semester performance, but may have other leotards/skirts for class if they wish. Pink tights and ballet slippers, hair pulled back. Male Students should have a white or black fitted t-shirt and black shorts or leggings, black ballet slippers. Fitted dance warm-ups are allowed for the beginning of class. Baggy shirts, sweat pants etc. not allowed.

Adult Ballet Students (18 +): Dancewear or yoga/athletic wear of choice. Ballet slippers, hair pulled back.

Contemporary/Lyrical: Students should wear a leotard (or solid color fitted tank top), black leggings (or shorts for men), or pink or black footless tights. Bare feet or modern/lyrical shoes of choice, hair pulled back and secured. Any warm-up clothing should be removed soon after the start of class.

Jazz: Students should wear a leotard or fitted tank top, solid color fitted leggings and jazz shoes. Hair pulled back. No Baggy shirts, sweatpants etc.

Tap: Dance/athletic wear or play clothes for younger students that is easy to move in but not too baggy, tap shoes, hair pulled back.
